THE CHIARA MTP 8 EDGE PROCESSOR IS AN AUTOMATIC, NUMERICALLY CONTROLLED MACHINE DESIGNED FOR GRINDING AND HIGH-QUALITY POLISHING. IT CAN SIMULTANEOUSLY PROCESS ALL FOUR SIDES OF GLASS, INCLUDING FLAT EDGES AND ARRISES, USING A PATENTED SYSTEM
The Chiara MTP 8 has a compact design that requires significantly less space than a traditional double-edging line and operates much faster.
The entire working cycle is fully automated: the NC system manages the glass approach, controls the feed, adjusts for glass dimensions and thickness, regulates wheel wear, feed speed, and removal rates.
Additionally, the Chiara MTP 8 allows for different finishes on each side of the same glass piece—such as polished, ground, arrised, or clean score—offering versatile processing options.
Grindings Heads
The four grinding heads are mounted on the four controlled axes of the main frame and carry the eight grinding and polishing wheels. Each spindle is automatically adjusted to accommodate the glass thickness and wheel wear.
Vaccum system
A specialized configuration of the automatic vacuum system, featuring suction cups controlled by the NC based on the glass dimensions, securely holds the glass during grinding. This allows the CHIARA MTP 8 to be the only edge processor capable of handling SUPER LOW-E glass without direct contact with the treated surface.
HEAD CONFIGURATION WITH OPTIONAL 45° WHEEL FOR CORNER DUBBING SYSTEM
Each head is equipped with:- 2 diamond wheels and 2 polishing cup wheels for the flat edge
- 2 diamond wheels and 2 polishing cup wheels for the arris additionally, an optional 45° wheel can be added for the corner dubbing system, suitable for angles less than 100°.
